The Cailleux family, owner of Château Haut-La Péreyre since 1881, produce fine Bordeaux wines with a deep respect for tradition. The vineyard is 52 ha spread over 8 communes of Entre-Deux-Mers.

Terroir is the driving force and central point of reflection in the development of our wines
Olivier holds a BTS Viticulture and Oenology, a BTS trade in wines and spirits and a DUAD (University Diploma of Tasting Aptitude). This education allowed him to learn with Médoc grands crus classés like Cos d'Estournel & Château Lagrange, and in New Zealand and South Africa before returning to work with with his parents in Entre-deux-Mers Haut-Benauge.
He has deep experience : 29 vintages including 24 at this Château.
Traditional methods acquired over 6 generations and innovative methods are combined to enable the development of colourful, aromatic, concentrated and balanced wines that highlight their original terroirs.
Oenology is an art that needs a broad perspective. Claude Gros, international consultant, helps in this quest for quality !
"I am "especially aware that I am only passing through" on these soils of Bordeaux which have borne vines for 2000 years and which, I hope, will carry on for another 2000 years. All my actions are taken with a long term vision and respect for the larger environment."
